PolyOne offers two product lines, Geon HTX™ for molding and Geon HTX Ultra™ for extrusion, for applications where performance under high heat is required.
Geon HTX higher heat vinyl alloys exhibit engineering-grade performance in a broad array of molding applications. Geon HTX alloys extend the performance advantages of rigid vinyl compounds over an elevated temperature range, making them the cost-effective alternative to plastics such as FR ABS, modified PPO, polycarbonate and PC/ABS blends. Geon HTX alloys are used in appliance housings and components, electrical enclosures, computer enclosures, telecommunications products and network interface units.
Geon HTX Ultra higher heat alloys are designed for extrusion applications requiring superior dark color weatherability. Geon HTX Ultra alloys offer exceptional heat resistance (HDT of 190F to 195F at 264 psi) without warping or sagging. Ideal for use as solid profiles or weatherable cap layers, they are appropriate for a range of exterior applications, including windows, fences, decking, railings, siding and other construction profiles.
