PolyOne Investor Meeting to Target Growth Opportunities

CLEVELAND, Feb 10, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- PolyOne
Corporation (NYSE: POL) will host a meeting for analysts and investors from 9 to
11:30 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at the Sheraton New York
Hotel and Towers, 811 Seventh Avenue at 53rd Street.

Laying out their strategy to drive growth and profitability will be Thomas A.
Waltermire, chairman and chief executive officer; W. David Wilson, chief
financial officer; and V. Lance Mitchell, vice president, global plastics.
Specific topics they will cover will include:

  • Challenges and opportunities from the September 2000 merger that created
    PolyOne
  • Accomplishments since the merger
  • Today's PolyOne, including the business portfolio, success factors,
    goals and new growth initiatives under way
  • An in-depth review of PolyOne's business platforms, with a focus on
    their competitive position, market opportunities and actions to increase
    sales
  • PolyOne's evaluation of strategic alternatives for non-strategic assets.
    Whether PolyOne pursues any of these alternatives will depend on factors
    such as the terms and overall value the Company may obtain.
  • An assessment of PolyOne's financial health, including its plans to
    strengthen its balance sheet and realize its full earnings potential
