PolyOne Corporation takes environmental stewardship very seriously.  Our Corporate Environmental Policy Statement outlines the policies we apply to our dealings with our customers, suppliers, and the community at large.  We then implement these principles through our Environmental Management System.

The Environmental Management System includes an Annual Environmental Forward-Planning Process.  In this process, the corporation reviews potential aspects and impacts of manufacturing plant operations in order to identify projects that would both meet and/or improve on plant performance relative to current environmental regulations while continuing to improve and configure plant operations to meet future anticipated regulations.  Finally, the process projects the potential impact of these projects on the environment and the surrounding community, which helps us prioritize the projects in order to continuously improve plant environmental performance.

Another part of our Environmental Management System is an Internal Environmental Auditing System, which reviews plant operations and develops recommendations to improve plant environmental performance.  The findings from this system are incorporated into the Forward-Planning Process.
