PolyOne’s Edgetek™ engineering thermoplastic compounds portfolio, which covers a broad range of standard and custom formulated high-performance materials, now includes compounds based on Eastman Tritan™ copolyester thanks to an exclusive agreement between PolyOne and Eastman to compound this material. Like all Edgetek compounds based on select base resins, the Tritan™ based products feature reinforcing additives that modify and expand the performance of the copolyester.

Edgetek compounds made with Eastman Tritan™ copolyesters offer a wide range of performance and properties. Primary benefits include:

• Chemical resistance and toughness, extending product life and maintaining functional and aesthetic integrity
• Excellent clarity, allowing light transmittance, low haze, and great shelf appeal
• Heat resistance, dishwasher-safe, lower residual stress than polycarbonate to reduce cracking and crazing
• BPA-free, contains no bisphenol-A monomer
