PETAL™ PET 
 

PETAL™ engineering polymer compounds are based on PET (polyethylene terephthalate). Because of their excellent overall thermal and mechanical properties, as well as easy processing, PETAL compounds are the material of choice for a wide range of applications, including transportation and appliances. Glass-filled, flame-retardant and fast-cycle nucleated grades are available. Blends with PBT and grades based on recycled PET from the packaging industry are also available.

Key Characteristics

  • Good impact properties
  • High heat resistance
  • Heat distortion temperature (HDT) above 200°C for glass-filled grades
  • High chemical resistance to oils and greases
  • High gloss level
