OnFlex™ - S Styrenic Thermoplastic Elastomers
OnFlex™-S thermoplastic elastomer compounds are based on styrene block copolymers (SBC) technology. The majority of the OnFlex-S range consists of thermoplastic elastomer compounds, which are based on both SBS (styrene butylene styrene) and SEBS (styrene ethylene butylene styrene) copolymers.
OnFlex-S compounds can be supplied pre-colored to the customer’s specification or natural, which can be colored ‘in process’ with color concentrates, such as PolyOne OnColor™ color concentrates.
Key Characteristics
OnFlex-S and Bergaflex styrenic thermoplastic elastomers can be formulated to deliver properties not found in other TPE systems including:
- Wide hardness range
- Low temperature flexibility
- Excellent processability
- High gas permeability
- Good abrasion resistance
- Excellent colorability and transparent grades
- Overmolding grades for bonding to a wide range of polymers (PP, PS, PO, PA, ABS, etc.), providing a soft touch or sealing opportunities
