Organosols are closely related to plastisols. Simply put, organosols are plastisols to which a volatile solvent or thinner has been added.

Plastisols are dispersions of special fine-particle vinyl resins in plasticizing liquids. Once applied, plastisols are fused with heat in relatively thick sections, converting it into a tough, homogenous mass with excellent abrasion, aging, corrosion and electrical resistance.

In liquid form, organosols can be used to apply a hard, tough film in thicknesses up to 15 mils. Applications include automotive decals and pinstriping, as well as adhesive labels for computer-cut signage, architectural signage, and traffic and safety signs.
